These sprayers have been meticulously engineered to cater to the needs of vector control, particularly for indoor residual spraying in malaria control, using insecticides based on the guidelines provided by the World Health Organization
(WHO/CDS/WHPES/GCDPP/2010.9 REVISED EDITION 2010).

BACKGROUND:
In 1989, the Semco Residual Hand Compression Sprayer was initially developed for vector control. By 1990, our sprayer successfully underwent testing and evaluation, meeting the WHO specifications for hand-operated compression sprayers (WHO/VBC/89.970).

In 2010, we designed and improved a new model, which underwent evaluation by a WHO collaborating centre. These models were found to be fully compliant with the requirements outlined in the WHO Equipment for Vector Control Specification Guidelines (WHO/CDS/NTD/WHOPES/GCDPP/2006.5).

In 2012, the Semco Residual Hand Compression Sprayer Model MR-10 and MR-8 underwent evaluation and successfully met the requirements outlined in the WHO Guideline WHO/CDS/WHPES/GCDPP/2010.9 REVISED EDITION 2010.
